The Workday Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all stages of the project and project delivery. This will include assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities and enforcing accountability, developing and maintaining a budget and schedule to ensure timely completion of project. Maintain standard project management documentation and metrics with limited direction. Work directly with internal and external client counterpart, other project leads, and ongoing operations to deliver successful implementation and manage scope. The Workday Senior Project Manager will also be responsible for promoting team engagement and building and maintaining a successful relationship with the client.

Candidate may work in several U.S. zone hours.

The Role
Manage Project Scope and Delivery

• Leads a larger LE project, Tenant Assessment, Mergers & Acquisitions or multiple ME projects.
• Could act as a lead PM over seeing PM(s) on a client deal.
• Participates in sales opportunities and process.
• Considered a coach or buddy for PMs.
• Leads building the practice initiatives.
• PM SME on WD and Strada methodology.
• Could be a people manager.
• Manages Workday implementations through all life cycles stages.

The Requirements

• 5 to 7 plus years previous program/project management experience required including scope and requirements definition, problem solving and process improvements in current Internet-based technology environment.
• Experience of successfully leading a project implementation of Workday, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP or similar applications.
• Experience leading and participating in technical and cross-functional projects.
• Experience of managing large project teams and stakeholder groups.
• Previous functional/technical HCM, Payroll and Financials deployment experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software organization.
• -Experience of communicating effectively with high levels of management internally and on the client side.
• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Workday Project Management Certification strongly preferred.

• If not already Workday certified, must successfully pass Workday HCM and/or Financials Core and PM training classes and retain Workday certification.
