Security Officer - Full-Time 1st Shift

 
Location: Lawrence, MA 

Shift: Monday-Friday, 5am-12pm

Pay Rate: $19.50/hour

Securitas USA is seeking a reliable, observant, and proactive Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, assets, and company property during first-shift hours. This role plays a critical part in supporting a secure workplace environment conducive to innovation, collaboration, and productivity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor building access points, entrances, and exits via physical patrol and security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control).

• Greet and screen visitors, contractors, and employees in a professional manner; verify credentials and issue visitor badges.

• Perform regular patrols of interior and exterior premises to identify potential security risks or hazards.

• Respond to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies promptly and in accordance with company procedures.

• Document incidents clearly and accurately in security logs and reporting systems.

• Monitor security systems, alarms, and access control software for unusual activity or unauthorized access.

• Enforce company policies related to safety, security, and facility access.

• Collaborate with emergency responders, law enforcement, or internal teams when necessary.

• Support security planning for special events, deliveries, and after-hours operations.

• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining authority in security matters.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification preferred.

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.

• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.

• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient with basic computer systems, security monitoring tools, and incident reporting software.

• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
