About the role
Description
Primary responsibility of the Production Filler Operator is to efficiently and effectively run and maintain either the N-8, gallon, half gallon, or quart filler and other related equipment. Emphasis on highest performance of quality and 100% done right the first time.
- Make sure all pre-shift checks are signed off on before any product is brought to machine.
- Clean, set-up, operate and monitor assigned filling equipment.
- Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks for weights, codes, and proper labels.
- Monitor and ensure accuracy for caps and general packaging of product.
- Make necessary adjustments to Filler timing, bowl level, gaskets/ O-rings, filler speeds, and other key parameters as needed.
- Properly change codes and labels as needed.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties
- Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being bottled
- Ability to perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient matter
- Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
- Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
- Responsible for adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and SQF requirements.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience within the food and beverage manufacturing industry preferred.
- Must be able to pass all drug and background checks.
- Must be able to work 1st shift schedule, typically 6am - 4pm. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, required.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
