Position Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Lead is responsible for ensuring the production team is actively engaged in meeting daily customer demand and the production schedule. The Production Lead provides effective training to the production staff and ensures safety and quality standards are maintained at all times. The Production Lead is also responsible for being a leadership resource for team members; providing knowledge, experience, motivation, support and advice.
Essential Duties:

Practice “safety first”, setting an example of good safety behaviors.

Ensure quality checks are being followed and completed.

Encourage 5S and ensure daily, weekly cleaning is completed.

Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Production Department for assigned shift or crew.

Collaborate with Warehouse, QA, and Maintenance staff to see if their support is effectively directed.

Ensure compliance with GMP/GDP policies
-
Strive for the achievement of individual, line, and company goals

Work with Operations Manager to administer approval of time cards and PPT approvals.

Compile and manage required reports and documentation regarding operations, inspections, deviations, and corrective actions.

Sustain a system of active communication within the department.

Exhibit high level of professional conduct.

Other duties as assigned

Continues to update job knowledge through cross training as requested

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
-
High school diploma required
-
Minimum 5 years of practical, hands on experience with manufacturing, Supervision or equivalent combination of education and experience required

Motivated, goal-driven, with a dedication to constant improvement

Ability to read measuring devices, i.e. micrometer, calipers, etc.
-
Must be experienced working with computers and have ability to learn, navigate and use designed software programs as required to perform job functions (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP system)

Must be able to speak effectively before groups
-
Must know Good Manufacturing Practices
-
Must be able to modify their work schedule as needed for personal training or scheduling needs.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to use keyboard and telephone, ability to sit, stand, and walk on a varying basis throughout
