Job Description:  

The Grounds Keeper is responsible for the general maintenance and appearance of the property surrounding the buildings at this facility, while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.   

Duties: 

Pick up trash, Empty trash receptacles, Use scrubber to clean the floors, Rake leaves, Paint at heights using ladders and lifts, Trim hedges, Maintain shrubbery, Plant flowers, Trim trees, Sidewalk snow removal, Salt sidewalks, when necessary, Perform general maintenance on grounds equipment, Able to use basic yard tools and lawn equipment (hedge trimmer, weed wacker, leaf vac, leaf blower) 

Other duties as assigned by supervisor. 

Essential Job Functions: 

Able to tolerate exposure to various outdoor weather conditions.  Able to wear required steel toe boots and other required PPE. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically. Must be physically able to perform demanding tasks.  Willing and able to use various types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Have the ability to work from a ladder or lift.  

Qualifications: 

• Must be motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.   

• Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks.  

• Must have current and valid driver’s license.  

• Mechanical background helpful.  

• Must be able to perform the essential job functions.  

• Must be willing to work from Monday thru Friday, weekend work may be required.
