Boeing Commercial Airplanes is hiring for FRT (Flight Readiness Technician) Cabin System Readiness Technician (Level A/B/C) for Variable Shifts. This position will support the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center Operations Team in North Charleston, South Carolina.

This position will provide critical production support to the Delivery Center including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality. Performs Cabin repairs, final component installation and systems operational functional testing. Performs rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery, inspect and document non-conformance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs Cabin repairs and functional testing

  • Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

  • Assists in troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components.

  • Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.

  • Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

  • Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

  • Works under supervision with limited understanding of the job

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in North Charleston, South Carolina.

Flightline Readiness Technician Aptitude Virtual Job Tryout: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. You will receive an email invitation at the address you provided in your application. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends. 

  • Minimum 3 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations

  • Knowledge and experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.

  • Minimum 3 months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.

  • Minimum 3 months of 787 Program Experience.

  • Familiar with Boeing Production System

  • Experience with Field/Flight Line Operations

  • 1 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 or more years related work experience of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
