Description
The Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, tenured position at the Professor level in Aerospace Engineering with a 9-month academic appointment beginning Fall 2025.
We are seeking applicants in the area of Physics with specialization in Astronomy. Special consideration will be given to applicants with the following expertise (in no particular order): Cislunar and Near-Earth Space Situational Awareness and Space Traffic management, satellite characterization, tracking and sensor tasking.
Candidates are encouraged to interpret these areas of interest broadly when assessing their fit for the position.
The successful applicant will be required to teach, advise, and mentor graduate students, develop an independent, externally funded research program, initiate interdisciplinary partnerships, participate in all aspects of the department’s activities, and serve the profession.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Physics with a specialization in Astronomy.
