About the role

Rexel UK Limited have a great opportunity for an individual with great attention to detail to join our Sheldon, Birmingham office as a Payroll Assistant.

 

As a Payroll Assistant you will deliver the administration of all payroll activities ensuring completion is on time and accurate whilst maintaining compliance with internal and statutory requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring a timely, efficient and accurate payroll process is completed and for supporting the business functions and teams with pay related queries through to resolution.

The Role


As a Payroll Assistant for Rexel, your main responsibilities will be:


•    Supporting the completion of month end and year end procedures 
•    Compliance with all statutory regulations relevant to payroll 
•    Supporting in audit processes as required and assist in the implementation of subsequent recommendations to meet specified timescales 
•    Applying continuous improvement practices to all payroll processing to deliver streamlining and improved customer service 
•    Ensuring high levels of confidentiality and integrity are maintained at all times 
•    Liaising and communicating effectively and professionally with internal and external customers 
•    Prioritising personal workload ensuring all payroll processing is completed on time and accurately and in accordance with expectations of the Payroll Manager  
•    Supporting payroll projects as required ensuring project deadlines are met  
•    Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with all stakeholders to provide quality, efficient and customer focused payroll services 

The Person


To be a successful Payroll Assistant at Rexel, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

 

•    Experience within full payroll lifecycle 
•    Knowledge of statutory deadline and relevant regulation
•    Curious mindset with a drive to optimise processes and identify efficiencies
•    Highly customer focused with a solution-oriented mindset
•    Comfortable working to deadlines whilst maintaining exceptional accuracy and diligence
•    Previous HR experience would be an advantage 

The Payroll Assistant role is a FULL TIME/PART TIME permanent position MONDAY – FRIDAY and we offer a pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
