About the role
Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc., (''MGM'') is seeking a Manager of Reporting and Intercompany Accounting. This role is responsible for preparing and delivering certain key internal reporting to our parent company, Amazon.com Inc. (''Amazon''), as well as overseeing the intercompany accounting for day-to-day transactions between MGM and its subsidiaries and affiliates, including Amazon.
This position will have responsibility for:
• Review MGM's consolidated monthly reporting and manage the elimination of intercompany activity between MGM and Amazon legal entities
• Manage all aspects of month, quarter, and year-end financial close as it relates to intercompany accounting transactions, including Theatrical, Digital and TV distribution of MGM and Amazon titles
• Work cross-functionally with MGM and Amazon accounting teams to deliver monthly and quarterly reporting, including reconciling amounts by trading partner
• Understand the operational process flow for all intercompany transactions across all Amazon and MGM business lines
• Partner with Amazon accounting teams to implement and monitor intercompany accounting policies and procedures according to Company guidelines and resolve functional issues
• Lead the design and implementation on finance transformation, system integration projects and new business initiatives
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- 5+ years of Accounting experience
- Prior experience in entertainment
- Degree in Accounting or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA
- Accounting management experience with Big Four (public) with Fortune 500 clients
- Operational accounting experience with one or more Fortune 500 companies for two or more years
- Working knowledge of the COSO internal control framework and a solid understanding of the concepts of control design and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with GAAP research tools and the FASB codification
- Experience working with a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or complex company
- Experience with researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions
- Demonstrated history of solving multiple complex operational and accounting challenges
- Aptitude for team leadership—influencing and galvanizing others to follow you toward a solution
- Natural propensity for organization and an aptitude for information technology
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
