The Role:

NF & IWS Systems, in partnership with the Client Transition Delivery Team, is looking for a highly motivated Mainframe Senior Software Engineer to join the team. This candidate will focus on responding to client requests by supporting conversion and deconversion activities, including processing data updates, supporting internal conversion events (including mergers and acquisitions) as well as assisting with our mainframe modernization efforts.  They will work directly with both technical and business partners to fulfill our clients needs. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be working to learn various distributed technologies (SnapLogic, Snowflake, AWS, etc.) in order to migrate these activities to modernized platforms. They would be responsible for delivering quality products consistent with Fidelity’s high standards.

 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

  • 5 plus years of mainframe software development experience using Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM
  • Knowledge of SQL, File-aid, Eztrieve and SPUFI is preferred
  • Knowledge of Snaplogic, Snowflake and AWS is a plus
  • Exposure to Distributed Technology like JAVA, Angular, Python is an added advantage
  • Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups, both in person and virtually, in a constructive and collaborative manner
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environment
  • Ability to navigate organizationally to accomplish tasks
  • Ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Quick learner and willing to adapt and learn new technologies
