Mechanical Engineer Co-Op 

 

As a Mechanical Engineer Intern, you will work with a team to provide mechanical engineering

designs for large scale capital projects and will support multiple sites and projects concurrently.

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

• Preparing project mechanical specifications and summaries for front end design packages;

• Working with the mechanical designer to develop project drawings for equipment and piping layouts;

• Reviewing equipment vendor drawings and supporting construction;

• Supporting engineers in the development of mechanical equipment specifications;

• Supporting the development of construction drawings and specifications;

• Supporting the development of equipment checkout plans;

• Supporting project checkout and startup at manufacturing site.

Required Qualifications:

 

 

• Sophomore or Junior pursing a bachelors or masters in a Mechanical Engineering program

 

Desired Skills/Experience:

 

• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
• General mechanical aptitude
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Good problem solving skills

• High degree of personal initiative

• Excellent organization and planning skills

• Ability to work well in a team environment and a diverse culture

• No travel limitations
