Payroll Accountant

Simpay is seeking a moderately experienced, full-time bookkeeper, reporting to the Director of Payroll Services of Simpay’s full-service payroll bureau operation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor all aspects of client payroll transactions.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and yearly transaction and account reconciliations.
- Audit payroll to bank transactions, locate and correct discrepancies.
- Review and submit payroll and payroll tax files daily.
- Maintain accurate reporting.
- Perform all A/R and A/P activities related to client payroll transactions, including deposits, collections, payments, reconciliations, and resolution of any returned transactions.
- Ensure that client invoices are accurate based on products sold.
- Perform payroll functions in an accurately and timely manner.
- Interact with the finance team to provide requested reports and files.
Requirements
- 2+ years professional working experience
- 2+ years payroll tax experience supporting multiple states, counties and IRS
- 2+ years working with payroll tax software
- Effective Customer service skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office, with proficiency in Excel
Preferred Skills & Competencies
- Effective phone and email business communication
- Ability to prioritize and organize workflow
- Ability to work with internal team members
Work Environment
Our office is located at 1210 Northbrook Drive, Suite 475, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053. The office hours for this position are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This job operates in a professional office environment.* This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some general office tasks are required. This would require the ability to move items, open drawers, and bend or stand as necessary. This role requires the ability to lift, move and carry up to 10 lbs. The position may be remote or hybrid.
