As the Quality Assurance Supervisor, you will lead the departmental efforts in ensuring the integrity of our security printed products. You will oversee the end-to-end quality lifecycle—from auditing raw materials and paper to certifying in-process and finished goods. This role balances people leadership with technical expertise, requiring a hands-on approach to statistical analysis, laboratory testing, and cross-functional communication.

Team Leadership & Operations

Supervision: Directly lead and assign work to QA Specialists, Lab Technicians, and Inspectors.

Training: Establish robust quality procedures and lead employee training on inspection designs, testing protocols, and laboratory integration.

Decision Making: Collaboratively make "run/no-run" and product acceptance decisions alongside the Quality Manager, Operations, and Senior Leadership.
Technical Quality & Testing

Lab Operations: Operate and train staff on precision equipment such as tensometers, densitometers, and COF testers.

Physical/Chemical Analysis: Conduct detailed chemical and physical testing on paper, raw materials, adhesives, and finished security products.

Precision Measurement: Utilize specialized tools including micrometers, calipers, loupes, and gages to verify product specifications.

Data Analysis: Apply advanced statistical methods and control-charting to evaluate current processes and drive continuous improvement.
Compliance & Software Management

Systems Management: Utilize Quality Management software to track, report, and resolve CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), customer complaints, and nonconformances.

Communication: Provide real-time updates on significant quality developments to production teams and corporate management.

Documentation: Maintain rigorous data logs for all QA activities in alignment with company policies.

Standards: Stay current on evolving government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from a four-year institution.

Experience: At least three (3) years of related quality experience or training.

Alternative: An equivalent combination of education and experience, specifically featuring heavy coursework in Math and Science/Chemistry.

Certifications: ASQ (American Society for Quality) or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
Technical Skills

Mathematics: Ability to calculate ratios, proportions, area, circumference, and volume.

Algebra/Geometry: Proficiency in applying basic algebraic and geometric concepts to quality testing.

Software: Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
