The Digital Banking and Payments team is responsible for our Card Payments Processing and Digital Bank products. We are building platforms for ACH, Wire, Bill Pay, Zelle, Debit, Checking, and Savings applications, enabling teams to create scalable products and deliver compelling digital experiences more efficiently. 

As the Data Engineering Director of Digital Banking & Payments, you will build an innovative technology framework that enhances developer productivity without compromising quality, at an enterprise scale. You will apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle and partner continuously with many stakeholders daily to stay focused on common goals. Responsibilities:   

• Leads, mentors, and coaches Sr Data Engineers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous professional growth, and knowledge sharing within the data engineering community 

• Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent 

• Defines and leads the enterprise data strategy, overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive data architecture frameworks, ensuring alignment with long-term organizational goals and governance standards 

• Oversees the optimization of highly complex database systems, driving strategic continuous improvement initiatives and advanced refactoring to enhance performance, scalability, and efficiency 

• Leads cross-functional teams in collaboration with business and product leaders to support strategic changes and implementations 

• Prioritizes and drives features for ongoing sprints based on deep analysis of industry trends, emerging technologies, and organizational priorities
