Position Summary:

This Transportation Delivery Management_Appointment Coordinator manages the live & Drop appointment requested to customer WH directly and needs to build/manage strong relationships with carriers.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the live & Drop Appointment management (requested to customer WH directly)
- Manage relationships with selected US/Canadian LSP’s and make urgent communication in case of emergency
- Search plan B carriers in case of lack of capacities
- Share with daily container delivery schedules with carriers
- Analyze, create, edit, track and trace select LSPs such as drayage carriers, rail companies, rail terminals
- Monitor and drive improvement to customer service goals including on-time delivery, product lead-times, and request-for-quote responsiveness
- In case to use pre-pull yard, find the best solutions in time
- Analyze and Report monthly on Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for deliveries
- Establish delivery status report and share with customers
- Create simple tools to manage regular shipment monitoring status and report to upper management, customers, and HQ
- Analyze data to find out the pending issues in terms of seamless movement and share with related parties to resolve the issues.
- Document corrective actions and improvement plans properly, and verify plan's effectiveness.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting, as required.
- Perform other job related duties as required
Requirements
- 2+ years of Freight Forwarding operation or transportation/ logistics related relevant experience required
- Strong understanding of transportation (especially US & Canada shipping) / freight forwarding industry
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High school GED required
- Ability to quickly grasp situations to make decisions to ensure problems are resolved and corrected
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills including effective written and verbal communications skills to communicate with various levels of the organization
- Ability to build trustworthy relationships with vendors/customers, and experience with vendor management
- Proficient with Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications - PowerPoint, Word, especially Excel with v-lookups and pivot tables
- Excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience in supervising team members with effective leadership
- Ability to prioritize, ability to shift one’s focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other duties
- Ability to travel up to 10% in US and international
- Fluent in verbal and/or written English and Spanish
