The Opportunity:
CACI’s Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group is searching for individuals to lead application development and support for NASA's enterprise business systems. Selected candidates will deliver and sustain capabilities in a fast-paced SAFe agile development environment.

CACI is hiring a Platform Management Lead to provide technical guidance, directing and monitoring information systems operations, support activities associated with delivery of customer-defined systems, hardware refresh initiatives, and software projects that encompass to deliver expert-level information. 

Responsibilities:

The Platform Management Lead must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like mannerThe candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of effortsThe candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.   

Additional responsibilities:

  • Provides technical expertise in the infrastructure design, installation, implementation, operation, maintenance and security of Microsoft Windows and RedHat Linux servers   

  • Supports Microsoft and Linux systems physical and virtual builds 

  • Resolves application and system software problems 

  • Evaluates and recommends hardware/software enhancements as needed including management of system updates and patches 

  • Troubleshooting configuration and integration issues in development, test and production environments 

  • Creating a wide variety of scripts  

  • Monitoring and optimizing system performance 

  • Configuring security on supported platforms, researching security issues / warning notifications for applicability and implementing patches and fixes   

  • Ensuring backup procedures are in place and executed on a timely basis 

  • Interfacing with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. 

  • Performing scheduled and allocated work, providing guidance on modernization initiatives, and resolving problems to meet technical performance and financial objectives 

  • Work as part of a team that creates VMware environments in a fast-paced Agile software solution factory.  

  • Maintain existing systems by analyzing, designing, and implementing changes to the system baselines so that baseline changes meet customer requirements. You will also work with upcoming technology refresh projects.   

  • Contribute to operational and system support documentation in accordance with the program’s configuration management procedures, regularly notifying the team lead when problems or issues arise that are outside the normal scope of work are other activities you will get to support.   
     

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Must be a U.S. citizen 

  • Possesses active Public Trust clearance with ability to obtain higher level clearance if needed 

  • BA/BS or + 10 years of recent speciali
