SCOPE:

An IT Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the reliability and stability of assigned platforms (including cloud based), systems, and applications.  Maintains effective communication chains, designs, developments, deploys, and supports Information Technology Systems for MHIA and its Affiliates.  Collaborate and partner with all IT Teams as needed to support and grow the ONETEAM mindset.  Manages ticket queues, maintains status updates frequently and performs analysis to support a path for proactive issue migration, where possible. 

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience including Azure and Hyper-V, VMware. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Recommend and develop plans for system development/operations, hardware and software purchases related to infrastructure for all affiliates;
  • Maintain partnerships with vendors to obtain clear understanding of available technology and aid in vendor management;
  • Develop, maintain and implement infrastructure systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance;
  • Identify system capacity thresholds and implements capacity upgrades as required;
  • Monitor service desk ticketing system and troubleshoot assigned infrastructure issues, follow up with end-users often to ensure timely resolution of problems;
  • Manage and lead assigned projects to completion with delivery of agreed objectives, within specifications aligned with deadlines and budget management;
  • Leverage a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with effective communication skills and demonstrated ability to foster teamwork;
  • Act with accountability in mind, identifying and interfacing with all key stakeholders in a professional manner;
  • Good judgement and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced dynamic setting;
  • Analyze system needs and functional operations, to determine scope & priorities, discuss system capacity, and equipment acquisitions;
  • Hands-on development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and functional systems for the organization;
  • Management and Administration (multiple tenants) of O365, Exchange Online/On-Prem, Azure DevOPS, Azure, VNets NSGs UDR, etc.
  • Install new equipment, software upgrades and patches to eMail services, DNS, FTP, and web servers and related facilities including login servers, mail relays, directory and list servers, web servers and a proxy server;
  • Maintain high-level and detailed knowledge on the computing, network, and security industries, best practices, and evolving technologies and security threats;
  • Analyze and recommend the purchase of computer/network equipment;
  • Champion a positive team spirit and culture built on integrity, inclusion, transparency, and accountability.  Establish and maintain succussion, continuity and progressional career path development plans for all team members built on the foundation of the people development vision;
  • Provide cross-site and cross affiliate support, including remote sites as required;
  • Ability to create documentation such as, but not limited to: SOPs, How To’s and Process Training, etc;
  • Contribute to building a positive team spirit and ONETEAM culture while embodying the Team Values daily;
  • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for benefit of third parties;
  • Perform other related duties, as directed by IT Leadership team.

 

 QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

 

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree (BS) from four-year college or university; in a field related to technology, such as Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Software Engineering or Cyber Security.
