The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Corporate Group Sales Account Executive, International & North America Travel Agency on the Sales Team reporting to the AVP, Global Incentive and Charter Sales.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida
Position Summary:
This position will be an integral part of revenue generation for the Corporate, Incentive & Charter Sales team globally. This position will liaise and provide sales support to the North America travel agencies and International IRs and offices for Corporate Incentive & Meeting groups.
Responsible for Incentive/Meeting group and charter revenue generation from International Offices, Representatives, Travel Partners, and Corporate Direct customers in a tele-sales environment. As well from travel agencies in North America. Requires not only reactive actions towards in-bound calls/emails and email correspondence, but also proactive efforts to follow up on open business and well generate and probe for new leads and potential new sales opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In a Tele-Sales and email environment, receives or places telephone calls and messages to International Offices/Representatives or Corporate Direct customers, as well as NA travel agencies to negotiate, quote and close business.
- Proactively makes outbound contacts with our customers (or potential news ones) to follow up on lead generations, for Meeting and Incentive Groups.
- Interprets price requirements from Revenue Management and calculates cost to produce maximum yields that meet clients need while meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
- Works closely with all of our International Offices and Sales Representatives, as well as Field/Inside sales reps and NA travel agencies to keep them informed of account activities and close the business.
- Emphasizes marketable features/benefits to persuade customers to book Celebrity Cruises business.
- Qualifies client needs and presents alternatives in order to secure the business.
- Responsible for generating contracts for all Incentive/Meeting groups in excess of 101 staterooms coming from international accounts as well as NA travel agency accounts.
- Responsible for backing up Global Charter AE and NA Corporate Associate when they are off or on vacation
- Aligning with the Wichita support team, ensure all onboard programs are requested and confirmed prior to contract being signed.
- Works closely with the Hotel Operations department, with specific customization requests from Corporate Meeting, Incentive clients.
- Networks with all relevant internal departments to action requests and complete tasks.
- Supports both the North America Charter Sales Manager and International Incentive & Charter Sales Manager with amendments and revisions of existing contracts.
- Makes outbound follow up calls on expired options or options about to expire, in an effort to close all business. Track to close all “offered” business
- Handles inbound sales leads, and convert calls into sales or leads for the global market place.
- Responsible for creating product awareness and educating accounts on Celebrity Cruises.
- Facilitate some site inspections in order to close on potential business as needed.
- Participates as needed in tradeshows, trainings, seminars, business meetings and presentations to support corporate and incentive sales initiatives.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelors degree (BA) from a four-year college or university and one year of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Must have the ability to analyze problems and follow a logical course for its resolution. Negotiation skills
- Must be able to view a situation from all angles and determine the best course of actions, considering all details
- Excellent communication and writing skills required
- Able to travel and assist on in-person sales calls as required
