Responsibilities

We are seeking a full time Clinic - Medical Assistant to be part of our team at Saint Mary’s Physician Care in Blue Springs, Missouri. You will be hands on in providing excellent care to all of our patients by assisting physicians as well as performing clerical, environmental and organizational duties.

 

Specific responsibilities include: assisting physicians during exams and procedures, taking vital signs, specimen collection, medication administration, and patient education. Additional responsibilities include appointment scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations and chart management.

Qualifications

Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Medical Assistant Certification

Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current

Minimum one year work experience in public contact job

 

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working in a health care setting

Good organizational skills

Interpersonal skills (compassionate, good listener, ethical)
