Senior Cloud/Python Developer

Who you are: 

• 6-8+ years of hands-on professional experience using Python, Golang, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• 2+ years of experience with globally dispersed teams across different timezones
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and development principles
• Proficiency in database technologies, preferably NoSQL, including modeling, testing, and performance tuning
• Experience in Linux/Unix environments
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber/Gherkin, GoDog, behave)
• Competency with version control systems (e.g., git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins)
• Good understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Rally)
• Ability to write reusable, optimized, and maintainable code following industry-standard best practices
• Excellent communication and presentation skills across different stakeholder groups and knowledge levels

What you will do:

• Hands-on development and design of Python and Golang applications
• Enhance and integrate the CSP automation framework with in-house tooling (Azure initially)
• Develop tooling and self-service capabilities for Public Cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS) and internal users
• Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines
• Improve developer experience by collaborating with client and infrastructure teams
• Interface with a global team of application developers and infrastructure engineers
• Produce proof of concepts in new areas of development
• Investigate production issues and provide technical support for debugging application failures
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment

It would be awesome if you had:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Experience with Open Policy Agent (OPA)
• Experience designing Azure applications and working with Azure PaaS services
• Knowledge of security controls and/or security tooling for the Public cloud

This is a full-time, direct employment position in New York, NY. The compensation package is based on experience and qualifications. The base salary range for this role is USD$115,000 per year - USD$280,000 per year.
