As a hands-on Senior IT Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, planning, architecture, design, and buildout of SAP platform and application landscape capabilities. In this position, you will play a vital leadership role in the planning and multi-year transition from our single ECC6 instance and application landscape to SAP S/4. You will be instrumental in building and scaling new SAP application platforms (e.g. MDG, GTS, EWM), modernizing the existing ECC stack, and establishing engineering and automation standards that support release and change velocity while maintaining system integrity and auditability, especially in regulated environments.
In the role of Senior IT Program Manager – SAP COE Platform Engineering and Architecture, you will lead a team of onshore and offshore platform engineers to sustain and enhance the current SAP application and solution landscape while transforming to S/4. You will provide platform engineering services to Commercial, Supply Chain, and Quality IT Value Streams to deliver transformational programs where SAP COE involvement is required. Key objectives include:
• Plan and optimize the complex multi- tiered SAP landscape in preparation for S/4.
• Establish new SAP application platforms such as GTS, MDG, and EWM.
• Upgrade applications and platforms such as Hybris.
• Improve use of SAP tools including Solman, Revtrac, LAMA, etc

The preferred working location for this role is the Medtronic facility located in Mounds View, Minnesota; however, the individual may also work from another US-based Medtronic facility. Additional work locations may include:• Fridley, Minnesota • North Haven, Connecticut

- Strategy/Plan: Lead the planning phase for SAP platform solutions including requirements gathering, project scoping, and resource allocation.
- Design/Architect : Develop and maintain the SAP platform solution architecture and landscape ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with business needs.
- Build/Delivery: Lead design, development and implementation of SAP Platform solutions, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards including high availability, performance, and user satisfaction.
- Run/Operations: For new capabilities, own hypercare and transition to ongoing support and operations. Provide expert intervention on critical production issues and incidents when required.
- Collaboration: Work with the business facing IT teams (including Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Commercial etc.) and IT Horizontal teams (including Infrastructure, Security, Enterprise Architecture, etc). to deliver SAP platform solutions and services.
- Vendor Management: Effectively manage and hold accountable vendors and service providers to successful deliver SAP platform solutions.
