Raytheon is seeking a well-qualified Principal Cyber Systems Engineer to become a member of our exciting team that is focused on hardening and securing our network, hosts and information. The Cyber Systems Engineering team is responsible for maintaining the security posture for all our RMF assets, establishing policies and procedures to validate and document the security posture for all the RMF assets. This technical role requires an understanding of DISA Stigs, Firewalls, Raytheon High Speed Guards, the importance of a hardened network and infrastructure. This role is onsite at our Richardson, Texas location.
What You Will Do
Create detailed designs for program specific activities (firewall updates, security initiatives)
Perform educated Costing estimates, following Raytheon prescriptive guidance
Install/Update/Patch program firewalls
Create/Update/Manage AWS accounts, Security Groups and AWS Security Policies
Create/Modify/Update configuration hardening guides based on DISA Stigs, Vendor documentation, or Best Business Practices
Create/Modify/Update Certified Test Plans
Update current RMF Tool with updates made to the systems
Perform audits on a myriad of systems, to validate security posture
Work with RMF Stakeholders to understand/validate and sell-off changes to the system
Perform ATO functions
Perform Raytheon High Speed Guard configuration updates
Create/Modify/Update automation efforts to broaden efficiency on the program utilizing scripting
Use ACAS and HBSS to find vulnerabilities within the systems and convey those vulnerabilities to the team and program to assess the resolution
Work during core business hours – First Shift
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of hands relevant engineering experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret/SCI with a CI Poly security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active IAM Level 1 certification (Security+ or other)
RMF level 1 and level 2 training
Experience with Windows Powershell, Linux Bash or Perl scripting
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with various information system security tools that address vulnerability analysis and mitigation. These may include Splunk, Forcepoint, Ivanti, Tenable, ACAS, HBSS, etc.
Familiarity with implementation of Government directives and policies derived from NIST, CNSSI, DoD, or other Government Regulatory compliance standards within a professional industry
Experience in the execution of the Assessment & Authorization processes, as defined within the Risk Managed Framework (RMF)
Familiarity with large multi-facility networks including diverse and complex components, including Windows and Linux environments
Experience interpreting, implementing, and assessing DISA STIGs
