JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to be an integral member of the healthcare team and provide direct and indirect care to patients.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet Patients
• Room patients using established protocol
• Assist providers as needed within scope of practice (ex. Assists with routine exams, procedures, chaperone exams)
• Sets up sterile field and assists provider during TVOR procedures.
• Perform POCT testing on site (urine and whole blood glucose)
• Ensures maintenance of the stockroom – unpacking supplies and keeping the room neat.
• Cleans patient room and prepares room for next patient using established protocol.
• Performs HLD of ultrasound probes using Trophon processor.
• Sterilize and high level disinfect medical equipment
• Perform other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by a provider or RN.

 

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• Graduation from accredited Medical Assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) strongly preferred.
• High school or GED graduation required.
• BLS required
