SUMMARY:

The Executive Vice President of Risk Management will serve as a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive risk management strategies across our insurance brokerage operations. This senior executive role requires deep expertise in commercial insurance, risk assessment, and client advisory services, with a proven track record of building high-performing teams and driving profitable growth.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement enterprise-wide risk management strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives
  • Lead the evolution of risk advisory services to differentiate our value proposition in competitive markets
  • Partner with C-suite executives to identify emerging risks and opportunities across the brokerage platform
  • Drive innovation in risk assessment methodologies and service delivery models

Client Risk Management

  • Oversee complex risk assessments for the firm's largest and most sophisticated clients
  • Serve as senior advisor on high-exposure accounts requiring specialized risk management expertise
  • Lead development of customized risk management programs for key industry verticals
  • Ensure consistent delivery of best-in-class risk advisory services across all client touchpoints

Team Development & Leadership

  • Build and mentor a team of risk management professionals across multiple offices
  • Establish performance standards and professional development programs for risk management staff
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
  • Create career pathways that attract and retain top risk management talent
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverage forms, and market conditions
  • Provide guidance on complex coverage issues, risk financing strategies, and alternative risk transfer solutions
  • Lead technical training initiatives to elevate team capabilities
  • Stay current on regulatory changes, industry trends, and emerging risk exposures
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop risk-focused value propositions for target accounts
  • Participate in key prospect presentations and finalist meetings requiring risk management expertise
  • Support proposal development for complex risk management engagements
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities through comprehensive risk assessments
  • Establish quality control standards for risk assessments and recommendations
  • Develop standardized methodologies for risk analysis across different industries
  • Implement technology solutions to enhance risk management service delivery
  • Monitor key performance indicators related to risk management effectiveness
