Description:

 

The qualified international intern should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:

 

  • Work with Packaging Planning Team.  Support BMW Packaging Planners with daily activities improving and maintaining existing products in existing production areas, as well as assist with analysis of packaging concepts/options for future models.  Support of 3D-Print Lab / Additive Manufacturing in creation and processing of models.
  • Support in analysis of existing packaging (steel and non-steel) for optimizations to reduce environmental impact, logistics costs, or for communizing across multiple product lines.
  • General support for Packaging Planners on modifications, identification projects and modification of existing packaging.
  • Support Additive Manufacturing team with 3D Print projects.
  • Moderation of Packaging Planning Meetings, including team meetings and packaging reviews for new/modified containers
  • Promotion of AM services within the plant
  • Qualifications 
  • Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain / Logistics Students .
  • SAP knowledge preferred
  • German and/or Spanish language skills preferred
  • Logistics knowledge preferred
  • Additive Manufacturing knowledge preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • Additive Manufacturing knowledge preferred
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale
  • Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
  • Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term..
  • Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length.
  • Work term dates are from September 22, 2025 to March 26, 2026.
