Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
A Business Analyst wanted by Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. in Livingston, New Jersey.
Job duties:
• Develop and utilize business and financial models and analytical tools to assess value delivery, product profitability, cost drivers, and operational efficiencies and to provide solutions for process improvements and systems optimization.
• Support and manage data integrity, accuracy, and technical requirements of the financial reporting system, cash/loan/investment system and the financial management system.
• Collect, compile, clean large datasets and analyze operational cost data, perform job cost analyses and EBITDA performance evaluation, and evaluate product cost and profitability trends with SQL and Excel to support data-driven operational and financial decision-making
• Incorporate all relevant sales, cost, profit and accounting related information with analytical tools into financial and business analytics to develop new insights and perspectives, identify trends with dashboards in Tableau and Excel, and recommend business actions with financial reports.
• Assist in the development of strategic business plans, financial forecasts, benchmarking analysis, and scenario analysis for manufacturing service operations.
• Identify specific business opportunities using analytical tools and analyze competitiveness to make necessary recommendations to improve company business and procedure.
• Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, and teams to understand the business needs of the company; develop plans to address issues with business solutions, and support business projects in a timely manner.
• Serve as the coordinator between system users and developers, leveraging knowledge of programming languages and Finance/Accounting to effectively communicate technical requirements, analyzing system logic, and translating business needs into technical solutions.

Education and Skill/Knowledge Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Analytics, or Finance and Analytics
• Must have knowledge of financial modeling, Scenario and sensitivity analysis, data visualization, financial accounting, financial forecasting and analysis, time-series, data management, Python, exploratory data analysis, Entity Relationship data modeling, Tableau, Advanced Excel functions, pivot table, database logical design, Power BI, SQL, data integrity
