Requirements for consideration:

Minimum Education:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Years of Experience:

• 5 years of experience working in a clinical lab environment or as a phlebotomist; 1 year working in an Inova laboratory

Job Responsibilities

• Ensures accurate specimen processing to maintain specimen integrity. 
• Verifies product and/or test components when processing and manages specimen accessioning accurately and efficiently to provide quality specimens for Laboratory testing. 
• Provides excellent patient and customer service by using AIDET principles and ensuring the correctness/quality of technical information and directions are provided to customers.
• Communicates effectively and work cooperatively with others to optimize job performance and foster working relationships. 
• Other duties as assigned.
