The Office of the Dean in Chatham University's School of Health Sciences welcomes applications for the position of Nursing Partnership Administrator. This position will also have a reporting dotted-line to the Office of Academic Success.

This coordinator-level administrative position serves as a vital link between Chatham University and UPMC Schools of Nursing, facilitating seamless collaboration and synergy in the execution of our academic partnership agreements. This role is responsible for fostering effective communication, coordination of academic-related services, problem-solving and curriculum development to meet the needs of Chatham's pathways-to-nursing students, students from UPMC schools of nursing, and UPMC staff nurses in the Chatham RN-BSN program.

This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement to include up to 2 days of work from home days per week.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Communication: Serves as a central point of contact for Chatham academic administration and department chairs and UPMC Schools of Nursing administration to promptly address and communicate to appropriate parties, concerns and issues within the scope of the articulation agreement.
  • Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, and Process Improvement:
    • Monitor and assess the quality and effectiveness of Chatham's academic services and instructional delivery, the sufficiency of course offerings, and the efficiency of resource allocation and practices.
    • Support the collection and analysis of data pertaining to student outcomes and institutional/program effectiveness.
    • Recommend actions, policies, and relevant initiatives to inform continuous improvement efforts and to enhance the overall learning environment for students.
  • Supervision: Supervise direct-report personnel to ensure timely and efficient coordination of administrative activities associated with the implementation of the articulation agreements. As needed, contribute to performance appraisal of other Chatham personnel associated with the implementation of activities within the scope of the articulation agreement.
  • Coordination & Collaboration for Access and Success: Coordinate with the Chatham academic departments (including but not limited to Nursing, Biological Science, Social Science, and English), Office of Enrollment Management, Department of Academic Success, Office of Academic Technology, Library and Information Technology, and other relevant entities to support the following:
    • UPMC Non-degree Seeking (NDS) Nursing Students:
      • Support the on-boarding/orientation of UPMC non degree seeking (NDS) students.
      • Support course planning and registration for UPMC NDS students into the HSC curriculum.
      • Monitor and facilitate the academic progress and success of UPMC NDS students (e.g., at-risk monitoring) in collaboration with Academic Success and Student Affairs.
    • UPMC Nurses as RN-BSN Students at Chatham:
      • Support the Academic and Transfer Credit Evaluation of RN-BSN students in collaboration with Chatham Enrollment Management and the Academic Advising Center.
      • In collaboration with the RN-BSN Coordinator, assist in the initial course planning and registration of RN-BSN students.
      • Support the ongoing planning and registration into non-BSN courses needed towards degree completion.
    • Chatham PTN Students: Support the effective on-boarding and academic access/registration of PTN students at UPMC Shadyside School of Nursing.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all parties involved in the execution of the articulation agreements or contracts adhere to institutional and academic policies, as well as regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Record Keeping & Documentation:
    • Maintain appropriate records and documentation of pertinent activities and outcomes associated with the role.
