In Research and Development Sciences (RaDS) IT within our company, we leverage product management, engineering, and data science expertise to fast-track the creation of innovative medicines that can significantly improve human health. With a global reach, we deliver services and solutions designed to enhance productivity, stimulate innovation, and propel our drug discovery and development pipeline forward.
We are currently in search of an agile and collaborative Software/Cloud Engineer to join our product team supporting process and discovery chemistry within RaDS. The individual in this role will be instrumental in enabling data and technology products and services that speed our scientists' ability to unearth and develop ground-breaking medicines.
Key responsibilities but not limited to:
- As a Software/Cloud Engineer help us transform our business through the power of the cloud. In this pivotal role, you'll have the opportunity to design, develop, and manage robust, secure, and innovative cloud solutions that drive our business objectives.
- You'll work collaboratively with Product Owners, Technical Teams, and Scrum Masters, developing project plans that align timelines with business outcomes. You'll keep a pulse on technology trends and upcoming business needs, guiding our product teams in providing visionary technology solutions.
- A crucial part of your role will be to ensure our cloud solutions comply with our enterprise security and regulatory standards. We'll rely on you to enhance our cloud capabilities, following the best architectural practices.
- As we modernize and migrate our legacy applications to AWS cloud, you'll be a key player in this transformation. You'll troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, streamline our processes with automation, and plan cost-effective cloud resources utilization.
- Your expertise will also enable us to accelerate development cycles and ensure reliable releases through the design, development, and enhancement of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) pipelines.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline and at least 4-6 years of practical experience.
- Skillful in Java, .NET, Python, C#, among other key programming languages.
- A strong foundation in cloud services, preferably with hands-on AWS experience.
- In-depth understanding of cloud computing and networking, combined with experience in real-time and batch integration in commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions.
- Practical knowledge in administering a Windows or Linux server environment - you're as comfortable working at the command-line as you are in a GUI.
- Exceptional communication skills to facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams and across various departments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a knack for managing and interpreting complex systems.
Nice to have:
- Experience in automation with at least one configuration/deployment management tool such as Ansible, Terraform.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.
