Position Summary:

We are looking for a person whose mission is to development of the business of selling financial or physical PPAs, as well as financial and physical hedging operations in electricity and gas with standard and structured products, with counterparties that have proven creditworthiness and knowledge of the energy market and risk management, being responsible for all front-end commercial management, generating value for the company.

 

Your main responsibilities:

• Generation of sales opportunities of physical and financial PPAs with large consumers and traders.
• Identify and develop opportunities in the Iberian energy market with potential buyers of PPAs and hedges in the Wholesale Market, creating a good external and internal client base and expanding the existing client and counterparty base.
• Comprehensive management of PPA trading platforms.
• Ability to generate and negotiate opportunities in Wholesale Business and in decarbonization projects.
• Interaction with other internal areas in Alpiq Group, essential for the negotiation and closing of PPA and hedging operations, structured for the short and long term (SEM, Credit Risk, Risk Management, Asset Trading, Finance, Treasury, Legal).
• Report on Origination activity.
• Contribute to the development of products, procedures and systems for the improvement of the PPAs and Hedging Business in Alpiq.
• Collaborate on internal projects related to the Sales & Origination business.
• Participate in international WS at Alpiq Group level, as well as in internal projects related to the PPAs business.

 

Essential Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience performing similar functions. 
• Demonstrable experience in sales of physical and financial PPAs.
• Experience and good knowledge in energy markets: electricity, gas, wholesale and PPAs.
• Extensive knowledge of the Spanish electricity market, derivatives market, structured products, as well as experience in origination/trading.
• Demonstrable network with clients in the energy sector with a focus on large consumers and Retailers.
• Advanced knowledge of the Office package.

 

Desirable requirements

• Experience in Supply Market in Portugal.
