Lead Accountant
As part of the global accounting team at Thomson Reuters, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial future. You will be responsible for providing financial information to internal customers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to strategic decision making across the organization. About the Role
In this opportunity as a Lead Accountant, you will:
- Act as a trusted advisor on matters related to deferred revenue and revenue reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements including account reconciliations
- Provide support during external audits and SOX testing
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally
- Contribute to cross functional projects
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and customer service excellence
- Participate in financial systems development projects
- Other duties as assigned
About You
You're a fit for the role of Lead Accountant if your background includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience preferred
- Experience working in a shared services environment preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and geographies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of SAP systems would be advantageous
