Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Political Science in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Arkansas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in International Organizations and Norms to start in August 2025. This is a standard nine-month faculty appointment.

We are particularly interested in candidates whose research and teaching interests lie in international organization and global governance institutions as they intersect with topics such as the design, development and performance of international governmental organizations (IGOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). Specialization in issues related to global health, environment, transnational networks, migration, ethnicity/nationalism, or human rights are strongly preferred. The individual will be expected to work with our college’s Global and International Studies program. The expected teaching load will be two courses a semester.

This tenure-track Assistant Professor position entails conducting research leading to publication, engaging in creative and/or scholarly activities, designing graduate and undergraduate courses, developing and implementing new methods of teaching to reflect changes in the field, providing curriculum mate
