Cylinder Head Technician II- 2nd Shift

Description

This position is responsible for Cylinder Head Department support as listed below for Texas Speed and

Performance.

Reports to Department Manager.

Pay Range: $22h-$26h (Includes Night Shift Differential)

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Keep All Decking, Flanging, 5axis, Doosan, and Lathe Machines running as needed
• Must understand and know how to change inserts and some comp adjustments
• Blending cylinder heads and inspecting each set completed by other teammates.
• Responsible for all aspects of quality including but not limited to visual inspection, deburring, washing, and proper care of cylinder heads.
• Keep up with all machine maintenance and water/coolant level and quality.
• Pressure checking of all cylinder heads.
• Assemble Cylinder Heads when needed.
• Keeping up with stock of boxing supplies and intake manifold bolts/gaskets.
• Debur and build titan and sheet metal intake manifolds per Work Orders when needed
• Assist with inventory of all consumables and parts used within the cylinder head department
• Sweeping and mopping of entire shop expected during down time or being asked.
• Maintain positive working relationships with manufacturing personnel and other staff members to support a positive workplace environment.
• Constantly verify parts are correct for work orders. Address immediately if discrepancies are found
• Responsible for implementing and enforcing industry standard safety procedures throughout the cylinder head department.
• Performs and executes all other duties assigned by direct manager.

• Must be cautious and attentive
• Must understand differences in cylinder heads and intake manifolds
• Exceptional Mechanical Abilities
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and general computer skills a plus
• Be able to use Measuring Equipment (Mics, Calipers, Bore Gauge, etc...)
