Scope of Position

The James Network of Outreach Services provides ambulatory care for the diagnosis of breast and lung cancer.  The Registration Coordinator is responsible for arranging the necessary testing, consultation, and information gathering to facilitate achievement of positive patient care outcomes.  These mobile healthcare coaches travel throughout central and remote Ohio locations. 

 

This position will require the employee to operate mobile vehicles or van(s) this includes a 40’ mobile healthcare RV-style coach and 40’ standard box-style healthcare coach in compliance with state laws and – upon reaching the work location – register patients as they arrive to receive services.  The duration of events varies.

 

Position Summary

 

The Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator - Driver involves the patient in directing his/her plan of care in a confidential, efficient, cost effective, and customer-focused manner. The Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator - Driver works as a team with other hospital disciplines to assure timely, accurate, and achieve customer-satisfied outcomes.  This position is specifically designed to support the mobile program with a driver who can drive the mobile van to and from our multiple client list spanning central Ohio and outlying counties.  The Revenue Cycle Services Coordinator - Driver will operate the mobile vehicles, will register patients at the time of service, and will support the mobile staff as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

 

For Hire:

 

Per Civil Service requirements to include a valid commercial driver’s license required and high school diploma or GED required.

 

Must hold a current Ohio driver’s license.  Must hold a current Ohio CDL (or acquire within four months from date of hire).  The department will provide additional training.

 

Strong reading, writing, and simple math skills required. Previous healthcare or service-oriented field experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting preferred. Customer service experience and effective communication skills. Skill in using appropriate office automation technology. Ability to work with several variables at one time, communicate and work in a diverse population of customers and colleagues, assess questions and give appropriate information and/or referral, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
