Lab Summary:
At Mobile Platform Solutions (MPS), we are looking for a passionate UX design research intern to help support our applications and services for Samsung's array of B2B products. In this position, you will join a collaborative team of world-class designers and be able to learn and grow from the experience.
Position Summary:
You’ll be working collaboratively with a cross-disciplinary team and senior UX and product mentors to help users achieve their goals and fuse business insights with users' needs to craft great user experience. Day to day tasks will include working on innovative Knox solutions from concept to launch. The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate Design Thinking while developing detail level work flows, assist in design and execution of research studies, and acquiring user insights based on studies and research.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and execution of research studies from concept generation through product release, including planning studies, moderating study sessions, writing reports, creating video highlights and presenting results.
- Acquire user insights by utilizing methods such as in-depth interview, diary studies, surveys, contextual inquiries, usability testing and any other methods you find impactful.
- Work effectively with designers, program managers, and hardware and software engineers in a highly collaborative environment.
- Support design validation and iteration through an iterative research process.
Required Skills:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree in Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field OR comparable UX research experience.
- Passionate about user-centered design for web and mobile experiences.
- An individual that is organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
- Open communicator with excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Job Functions
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
