Kimberton Whole Foods in Downingtown is looking for a part-time Grocery Stocker to join our team!

Shifts available: Monday 8am-3:30pm; Wednesday 8am-3:30pm; Friday 8am-3:30pm
Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older.
Hourly Pay: $14.00-$15.00 depending on experience
Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.

As a Grocery Stocker, you'll be at the forefront of our commitment to organic and nutritious food, caring for the earth while providing our customers with the freshest and most delicious choices. Additionally, your excitement for creating dynamic, abundant displays will showcase our earth-conscious and organic merchandise and beautifully reflect the hard work of our grocery vendors. Your keen eye for organization and attention to detail will ensure that our shelves are well-stocked and our grocery department is visually stunning.
DAILY OPERATIONS: The Grocery Stocker's primary responsibilities to execute the following:
- Provide exceptional customer service to all.
- Receiving and stocking all dry goods, ready-to-drink beverages, household and bulk items.
- Stocks and handles product following guidelines for time and temperature demands.
- Rotating back stock on a first-in first-out basis.
- Working in collaboration with the Grocery Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
- Understands KWF inventory management practices.
- Assists the front end by scanning customers groceries and completing all transactions efficiently. Carefully and efficiently bags groceries.
Requirements
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
- Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
- Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
- Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
- Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
- Standing- prolonged standing.
- Work environment – movement based with most of the time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
- Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
