Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a EA-18G Growler Experienced General Mechanic with Canopy and Ejection Seat Experience. Position is located in Whidbey Island, WA.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Candidates need to be Graduates of Navy AME "A" School or equivalent Air Force or Army MOS courses.

  • Candidates need to be Graduates of the CNATTU T/M/S aircraft egress system training course or equivalent factory egress system training for the egress systems they maintain.

  • AME personnel that have completed the CNATTU course for the F/A-18E/F aircraft SJU-17 Navy Aircrew Common Ejection Seat (NACES) are also qualified to perform work on SJU-17 NACES installed in F/A-18A-D and E/A-18G aircraft.

  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.

  • Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.

  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.

  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.

  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.

  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).

  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.

  • Works under general direction.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 3+ years experience with installation and removal of ejection seats with fighter jets

  • 1+ years of experience with aircraft modifications

  • 3+ years of experience in military fighter aircraft maintenance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
