You will help build, enhance and troubleshoot functionalities of our product, Arium.  Our product helps the (re)insurance industry assess systemic and emerging liability risks.</p><p><strong>We offer B2B contract.</strong></p><p>You will be a member of software development team. You will work in a collaborative team that works closely with business. You will plan and design new features, write clean, testable, and performing code, provide automated tests, as well as resolve customer issues.</p><p><strong>Your day to day responsibilities will be to:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop REST API Services</li><li>Maintain and enhance the mathematical modelling platform underlying Arium, with an emphasis on data science and algorithms.</li><li>Develop cloud infrastructure to produce software that is scalable, robust, and efficient.</li><li>Design and develop functional and responsive web applications by collaborating with other engineers in the team.</li><li>Liaise with other parts of the team, both technical and non-technical with business knowledge.</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will play an active role in developing and enhancing our back-end services, produce efficient, scalable and testable code, as well as provide assistance in trouble shooting.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>Must have:</p><ul><li>3-5 years of experience of building backend services using Python</li><li>Thorough understanding of RESTful APIs</li><li>Thorough understanding of how to build scalable systems in a cloud context, AWS preferred</li><li>Good understanding of mathematics, in particular probability theory / statistics / machine learning preferred</li><li>Good command of English in a software development context</li><li>Capability to take on new concepts quickly</li></ul><p>Nice to have:</p><ul><li>Understanding of databases,</li><li>Experience with TypeScript, JAVA, Angular are beneficial</li><li>Interest in data science and algorithms</li><li>Basic knowledge of insurance business</li></ul><p>#LI-AS1</p><h3>Additional Information</h3><p>In 2022, Verisk received Great Place to Work® Certification for our outstanding workplace culture for the sixth year in a row and second-time certification in the UK, Spain, and India.
