Birthday Party Staff

$15.50/hr. and a Free YMCA Membership

Saturday and Sunday 11am-6pm or 12pm-5pm

GENERAL FUNCTION

Planning and coordinating a fun and organized birthday party experience for members and guests. Building relationships and providing an engaging experience is the number one priority at all times. The position is responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values of the YMCA of Greater Rochester is conveyed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up, break down and implement programming for the duration of the birthday party.
• Work in conjunction with other staff to ensure members are provided with a quality YMCA experience.
• Actively engage the birthday child, his/her guests, families and friends in the birthday party experience at each individual branch. On-time, prepared for work each shift with all necessary requirements (staff shirt, ID tag, proper footwear and all other items as determined by policy)

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Demonstrated ability to organize and efficiently run events in a fast paced environment.
• Must be respectful, dependable and work well with other staff, members, and guests.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Must possess CPR/AED Certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
• Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds occasionally
