Project Controller – Data Center
The Project Controller plays a critical role in ensuring Black Box’s data center projects are delivered with accuracy, transparency, and predictable execution. Supporting structured cabling, network infrastructure, and low voltage scopes across active job sites, this role provides the real-time schedule and cost insights teams rely on to deliver fast paced, multibuilding programs.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, field leaders, procurement, and senior Project Controls leadership to ensure project schedules and cost data reflect actual field conditions and enable informed decision-making. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in execution-driven environments and wants meaningful impact across major data center projects.
What You Will Do
Project Controls Execution
Support assigned data center projects with hands-on schedule and cost control for structured cabling and technology infrastructure scopes.
Build, update, and maintain detailed project schedules aligned with GC milestones (DECC Ready, ENS Ready, PR, SC) and Black Box sequencing.
Track and forecast labor hours, headcount needs, and installation productivity.
Monitor project costs including labor, materials (OFCI/OFOI), expenses, and approved changes.
Ensure schedules and cost data accurately reflect field realities, access constraints, and material readiness.
Cost & Schedule Monitoring
Perform weekly schedule updates and validate progress with field teams.
Support cost forecasting, variance analysis, and labor productivity trending.
Assist with Earned Value Management (SPI, CPI), labor curves, and installation reports.
