Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Surgery Clinic | Chest Wall Center (Pectus Program)

Location: Cincinnati Children’s – Burnet Campus and Neighborhood Locations

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week | Five 8-hour shifts

Position Summary

The Pediatric Surgery Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Chest Wall Center, specializing in the care of patients with pectus conditions and other chest wall deformities. This role blends care coordination and clinic management, providing comprehensive support for patients and families throughout evaluation, treatment, and recovery.

The RN will collaborate closely with pediatric surgeons, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery across both the Burnet Campus and Cincinnati Children’s neighborhood locations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate care for patients undergoing evaluation and treatment for pectus and other chest wall conditions.

Serve as a primary clinical resource for patients and families, providing education and guidance throughout the care journey.

Manage clinic flow and support daily operations to ensure an efficient and patient-centered clinic environment.

Triage patient questions and clinical concerns via phone and electronic communication.

Coordinate preoperative and postoperative care, including patient teaching and follow-up.

Collaborate with surgeons, advanced practice providers, and ancillary teams to ensure continuity of care.

Assist with care planning, documentation, and communication across care settings.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Ohio license (or eligible).

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.

Pediatric, surgical, or outpatient clinic experience preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and care coordination skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
