About the role

Job Description Summary

The US Engineering Technical Training Leader / US Regional EEDP Leader will be responsible for evolving and executing part of Wind Engineering’s Advance Courses in Engineering (ACE) program, including B-Course, and C-Course ACE projects, in conjunction with the lead Technical Training Leader. In addition, this individual will act as the US Regional EEDP Leader, acting as the direct manager for US Edison Engineers and owning the program experience for the Edisons within their region. This work includes rotation management, offboarding, and recruitment (including recruitment for the US EID pipeline).

In the US, Edison Engineers are located in Greenville, SC and Schenectady, NY.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

Technical Training (40%):

  • Own, execute and improve B-Course with technical subject matter experts relevant to Renewable Energy (across all P&Ls) meeting corporate guidelines, including:
    • Technical Seminars (globally)
    • Team Projects (globally)
    • Hands-on Training (globally, with Regional EEDP Leader support)
    • Continuous Learning (globally)
  • Share ownership of C-Course requirements, specifically related to ACE Projects, including:
    • C-Course ACE project proposals
    • C-Course ACE project tracking, progress and approvals
  • Work with Engineering Early Career Development Team to cross-train with non-Edison engineers

US Regional Leader (60%):

Manage and Mentor:

  • In-person, direct manager to US EEDP members for duration of program
  • Support program members’ personal and professional development
  • Managerial tasks (onboarding, approvals, T&L, etc.)
  • Ensure program members follow EEDP/ACE policies for global and corporate consistency

Recruitment Lead:

  • Actively drive regional program recruiting based on headcount, major, and training needs from local Engineering Leaders
  • Connect with HR and Talent Acquisition teams to support postings and job marketing locally
  • Review resumes for candidate applicability, complete phone screens
  • Conduct interviews with Recruiting / Talent Acquisition teams, work with HR to issue offer letters / contracts
  • Facilitate onboarding by ensuring computers, desks, etc. are assigned upon program members’ start
  • Actively participate and help organize Kickoff activities

Facilitate Transitions:

  • Manage rotations and offboarding placement of region program members:
  • Soliciting rotations / offboarding positions from local leaders, diversifying rotational offerings
  • Review submitted rotations for experience requirements and content
  • Review program member rotation selection and work with Global Leader to match by business need, track, and seniority
  • Work with HR to facilitate relocation / offboarding where applicable
  • Coaching of Assignment Leaders to ensure they are clear on rotation expectations and training of program members

Local Site Champion:

  • Support and create EEDP culture in region
  • Connect with local technical leadership and Executives to champion program
  • Organize and manage EEDP-related local or P&L-specific events (roundtables, graduations, kickoff, rotation fairs, report-outs, etc.)

General:

  • Other duties as assigned by the Wind Edison Global Program Leader

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of significant experience in human resources or talent management
