Gerresheimer Peachtree City L.P. was established in 1993 in Peachtree City, GA, as part of the Plastics & Devices Division manufacturing and assembling a variety of precision molded plastic parts for various applications in the medical industry. The subsidiary operates in an 132 K sq. ft. production facility with 200 employees. 

Job Description

Support of all quality-relevant topics for "product-relevant" and "relevant" suppliers (raw materials, purchased parts, service providers) in series production.

  • Independent processing and coordination of supplier complaints
  •  Independent recording and improvement of supplier-related key figures incl. reporting to defined internal departments
  • Support and/or implementation of supplier audits
  • Representation of the SQM division during on-site audits
  • Coordination and trusting cooperation with all internal and external interfaces with regard to quality-relevant supplier topics (e.g. production areas, TS, CS, plant management, TCC/SEC)
  • Independent implementation of global SQM processes at working level after coordination
  • Preparation and participation in regular SQM meetings
  • Local contact for supplier changes
  • Support of quality organization (e.g.  Customer quality) in the adaptation of goods receipt specifications (inspection plans, error pattern catalogs, acceptance criteria, test level, etc.) and regular reflection or harmonization with the supplier
  • Preparation of the supplier evaluation for "relevant" suppliers and service providers
  • Development of suppliers based on supplier evaluation
  • Assistance in the creation and maintenance of technical delivery specifications
  • Responsibility for the preparation of the Feasibility Commitment

Qualifications

  • Knowledge as part of a 3-year technical study (e.g. mechanical engineering or cf.)  and have been developed through at least 3 years of professional experience in the field of supplier management / supplier quality in the operational industrial environment.
  • 2-3 years' experience in supplier management
  • 2 years' experience using QM guidelines
  • 2-3 years' experience in manufacturing processes (e.g. products and processes)
  • 2 years' experience in risk management (e.g. FMEA)
  • 2 years' experience using Office-Program, MES, QM-System
  • 3 years' experience using conflict resolution methods
  • 3 years' experience using problem-solving methods (e.g. 5-Why, PDCA)
  • Advanced moderation and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Performance and design motivation
  • Action orientation, conscientiousness and flexibility
  • Emotional stability, resilience and self-confidence
  • Fluent in English
