Job Description
Motorola Solution offers an integrated enterprise safety and security technology ecosystem. The Engineering team at Motorola is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer with hardware experience to join our team in Culver City. This role requires depth in software core competencies, along with a strong interest in developing automation infra, extending test coverage, generating reports, and collaborating with Product Managers and Software developers to investigate issues. Responsibilities:
Testing highly reliable Firmware for our internally designed embedded systems as well as hardware interface services in the Linux environment.
Define and execute comprehensive test strategies before releasing them to production
Verification testing and writing documentation.
Testing new features and existing packages
Analyzing data and document tests
Setup, configure, and troubleshoot test equipment and devices
Work with the QA team to design, develop, and execute test scripts for life cycle, unit, and regression testing
Work cross-functionally with mobile, backend, hardware, and firmware teams to develop new products and features
Work with customer support and other software teams as a technical resource for any customer issues and retest bugs as needed
Qualifications:
2+ years experience in QA/testin
Bachelor's Degree
Working knowledge of CICD workflows and basic implementation principles
Strong ability to analyze existing code and debug
Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, and Networking Protocols
Results-oriented, dependable, and accountable
Willingness to work autonomously
Highly organized, can juggle competing priorities and tasks
Willing to learn and share your knowledge with others
The base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.

Basic Requirements
- 2+ years experience in QA/testing
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
