Job Description

Motorola Solution offers an integrated enterprise safety and security technology ecosystem. The Engineering team at Motorola is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer with hardware experience to join our team in Culver City. This role requires depth in software core competencies, along with a strong interest in developing automation infra, extending test coverage, generating reports, and collaborating with Product Managers and Software developers to investigate issues. Responsibilities:

• Testing highly reliable Firmware for our internally designed embedded systems as well as hardware interface services in the Linux environment.

• Define and execute comprehensive test strategies before releasing them to production

• Verification testing and writing documentation.

• Testing new features and existing packages

• Analyzing data and document tests

• Setup, configure, and troubleshoot test equipment and devices

• Work with the QA team to design, develop, and execute test scripts for life cycle, unit, and regression testing

• Work cross-functionally with mobile, backend, hardware, and firmware teams to develop new products and features

• Work with customer support and other software teams as a technical resource for any customer issues and retest bugs as needed

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in QA/testin

• Bachelor's Degree

• Working knowledge of CICD workflows and basic implementation principles

• Strong ability to analyze existing code and debug 

• Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, and Networking Protocols

• Results-oriented, dependable, and accountable

• Willingness to work autonomously

• Highly organized, can juggle competing priorities and tasks

• Willing to learn and share your knowledge with others

The base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience.

• 2+ years experience in QA/testing
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
