What you get to do in this role:

  • Build complex data models to perform business analysis using PL/SQL Queries on HANA and Snowflake
  • Collaborating across the company’s multiple data teams to meet analytics deliverables
  • Maintain databases and develop/support monthly/quarterly metrics reports
  • Automate manual checks/activities to strive towards Seamless and faster Month-End and Quarter-End closure
  • Improve Performance, efficiency, and accuracy of reporting
  • Training analysts and data scientists alike on available data sources
  • Provide business partners with actionable insights into business drivers, financial performance and risks in the form of regular reporting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Identify and drive process and reporting enhancements, develop new tools and collaborate across Finance to help scale the process with ServiceNow’s growth

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 5 + years of documented experience in writing strong SQL, PLSQL in data warehouse technologies (Hana, Snowflake or any modern database)
  • Experience in reporting tools like Tableau, PowerBI, SAP BI
  • Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
  • Experience in Finance applications like SAP ERP, SAP BW/BPC, Anaplan etc is a huge plus
  • Expertise in database design & development, writing optimized queries, handling Facts, dimension data effectively
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and report simultaneously across different stakeholders
  • Structured thinking with ability to easily break down ambiguous problems and propose impactful data modeling designs
  • Passion for analyzing large and complex data sets and converting them into the information which drive business decisions
  • Attention to detail, organization and effective verbal/written communication skills
  • Proven track record in rolling out self-service analytics solutions (e.g. Tableau Server Ask Data, etc)
  • Solid decision making, negotiation, and persuasion skills, often in ambiguous situations
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment and be able to adapt to changing requirements.

 

For positions in the Bay Area, we offer a base pay of $133,300 - $226,700, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensa
