What will I be doing?
ü Daily coordination of activities involving the various opportunities and services offered through the business and economic development team
ü Supervising the work of the small business lending team to include business development, loan servicing, packaging, underwriting, closing, and technical assistance
ü Preparing loan committee and board presentations and ensuring reporting for SBA, EDA and other funding sources are prepared timely and accurately
ü Collaborating with business development, marketing, and IT teams to ensure strategies and tools are evaluated and implemented
ü Input regarding the team’s economic development strategy and influence over economic development staff, activities, and initiatives
Key Qualifications
ü Experience as a loan officer, business-to-business sales, business consulting, business development, or commercial lending
ü Project management experience
ü Knowledge of small business lending and financing programs
ü Experienced at prospecting, cold-calling, researching leads, and maintaining a method for regular follow-up with customers
ü Ability to read and understand various financial documents such as credit reports, tax returns, balance sheet, insurance documents and bank statements
ü Ability to lead teams to successful outcomes and meet performance objectives
ü Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications
ü Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills
ü Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Do you have…
ü Bachelor's degree in an applicable discipline or related field of study
ü 5 years of experience working with local government, nonprofit programs, schools, or in job-related duties
