The Internal Wholesaler I works within the sales organization, supporting the inbound sales queue volume as a part of our Inbound Response Team. This team is responsible for supporting various business lines on both life and annuity products. This team provides top-notch customer service to enhance the relationships with representatives that are new to our organization as well as existing relationships that have already been established. This role is primarily focused on servicing representatives through phone and email communication and passing along leads to territory contacts for follow-up, with an additional concentration placed on developing and improving the Internal Wholesaler’s sales acumen, towards the goal of promotion to a dedicated sales territory after the 12–18-month timespan. This position requires an individual that has a strong sales-focused approach with professional communication skills, hard work ethic, and a competitive drive to succeed. Essential Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesAnswer sale calls on a daily basis with new and existing representatives to strengthen relationships and find selling opportunities. This includes sales campaigns, new business opportunities, and other calls as directed.Collaborate with business departments across the enterprise to obtain requested caller information.Pass qualified leads along to External Wholesalers/Internal Wholesalers in the territory from which the call originated.Provide product education to representatives as an expert on our product features and benefits, answering questions and comparing our products to that of our competition.Create hypothetical illustrations to display product features.Utilize Protective databases to create and maintain representative profile information on all sales activity. With the assistance of our highly experienced Sales Training and Development team your training will include:· A variety of training methods that include classroom training, e-learning, self-study, and public speaking training.· Learning about a wide range of investment products including bonds, mutual funds, stocks, and annuities.· Becoming knowledgeable about investment strategies and their tax rules.· Professional communication and consultative selling skills.Job Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Go-getter attitude who is eager to jump start their career in the financial services and sales industry.Must have the ability to work in a challenging and collaborative environment. Competitive spirit and personal drive to succeed.Possess strong oral and written communication skills. Possess strong customer service skills.
