Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer

Overview

FedWriters is building a team to develop and maintain AI-enhanced search capabilities across the DoD's CDAO Search Portfolio, including GAMECHANGER, Contract Search, and the new YETI semantic search API. As Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will develop and implement AI/ML solutions for advanced search capabilities across multiple security domains.

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

 

Work Schedule and Location:

This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.  Must be within 50-mile radius of Washington DC metro area (Falls Church, Pentagon, Alexandria, Arlington).

 

Responsibilities

 

• Design and develop AI-based software solutions
• Develop front and backend components
• Maintain common libraries and tools
• Maintain production applications
• Work closely with clients and requirements owners
• Develop technical roadmaps and strategies
• Support rapid AI prototyping initiatives
• Optimize software for performance targets
• Document compliance standards

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree + 7-10 years experience OR Master's degree + 5 years experience
• Active TS clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
• Programming experience with Python, JavaScript, and Java
• Experience with React/Vue and backend frameworks (Node.js, Spring, Django, Flask)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and team leadership
• DevSecOps experience with CI/CD tooling
• Experience with containerization and Kubernetes
• Experience with SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL
• Experience with ElasticSearch/OpenSearch and Neo4J
• DoDD 8140 IAT Level III preferred
