📍 Location: Okemos, Michigan🕒 Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)💵 Pay Rate: $22.00–$24.00 per hour📅 Schedule: In-office, 37.5 hours per week👥 Client Focus: Dedicated client account

What You’ll Do
As a Medical Only Workers’ Compensation Claim Adjuster, you’ll manage medical-only claims for a single dedicated client account. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and an interest in Michigan workers’ compensation.

Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve medical-only workers’ compensation claims in accordance with Michigan guidelines and CCMSI standards
Set reserves under supervision
Review and approve medical bills
Document and summarize claim activity in system notes
Coordinate with internal teams and external providers for claim resolution
Assist in claim file documentation and closure
Support compliance with client-specific handling instructions and best practices
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
✅ Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong written and verbal communication
Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
🌟 Preferred/Nice to Have:
Prior experience handling Michigan workers’ compensation claims
Knowledge of state-specific forms and regulations
Familiarity with medical terminology
Adjuster’s license (a plus, but not required)

Accuracy and timeliness of claim handling
Quality of documentation and note-taking
Effective communication with claimants, clients, and internal stakeholders
Adherence to state and company-specific guidelines
File closure and resolution benchmarks
