Senior Product Owner

About the role


As a Senior Product Owner for our data products in Telligen’s Health Management System (HMS) organization, you will play a crucial role in developing strategic vision for ‘Data as a Product’ and leading the product teams to realize the vision.

What you will do:

  • Define and manage the product backlog for all data-related initiatives in HMS.
  • Data Integration – Define and prioritize data integration requirements across various data sources and systems.
  • Data Quality – Establish data quality standards, implement data quality monitoring, and validation processes.
  • Data Governance – Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Data Storage/Retrieval - Review existing data structures to optimize for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Scalability – Ensure data structures are scalable and can accommodate evolving business needs.
  • Stakeholder Management – Influence business stakeholders by showing them the ‘Art of possible’. Communicate the progress, insights, and outcomes of data-related projects to relevant stakeholders.
  • Modernization - Evaluate existing data structures, processes, applications, and take ownership to modernize our transactional and analytical data processes.
  • Continuous learner – Stay abreast of industry trends in data management, Cloud, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data etc.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Engineering or related field with programming and database systems coursework or equivalent experience developing data products.
  • 7+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database as an architect or a database administrator.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing data management concepts, including data integration, data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL server database performance tuning, and query optimization techniques.
  • Hands-on experience implementing one or more of AWS database services such as Redshift, RDS, Aurora.
  • 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment, preferably as a Product Owner.
  • 3+ years of experience creating strong business cases and influencing non-technical audiences.
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Relevant certifications in data architecture.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and planning.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint.
